This Shipping Policy (the "Policy") governs the shipment and delivery of products purchased through tryrhizo.com (the "Site"), operated by Balanced Naturopathics, LLC, a North Carolina limited liability company, doing business as Rhizomatic Gardens ("Rhizomatic Gardens," "we," "us," or "our").
By placing an order through the Site, you agree to this Policy. This Policy is incorporated into our Terms and Conditions by reference. In the event of conflict between this Policy and the Terms and Conditions, the Terms and Conditions govern.

1. Order Processing
Orders are processed Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays and observed company holidays. Orders are typically processed within 1 to 3 business days from the time payment is received and authorized.
Orders placed on weekends, federal holidays, or after 12:00 PM Eastern Time on a business day will begin processing on the next business day.
We reserve the right to delay, hold, or cancel any order at our sole discretion, including for reasons related to inventory availability, payment verification, suspected fraud, address verification, regulatory compliance, or operational capacity. If we cancel an order, we will refund the full purchase price to the original payment method.
Processing times are estimates and not guarantees. Processing times may be extended during product launches, promotional periods, holidays, supply chain disruptions, weather events, illness, or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.
2. Shipping Methods and Carriers
We ship via United States Postal Service (USPS), United Parcel Service (UPS), and FedEx, depending on order size, destination, product type, and carrier availability. Available shipping methods are displayed at checkout.
We reserve the right to select the carrier and shipping method we determine to be most appropriate for any given order, including in cases where a customer-selected method is unavailable, impractical, or operationally inefficient. Substitution of carrier or method does not affect the rate paid by the customer.
3. Shipping Rates
Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on order weight, dimensions, destination, selected shipping method, and applicable carrier surcharges. Rates are subject to change without notice. The shipping rate displayed at checkout is the rate that applies to your order at the time of purchase.
Promotional shipping offers, including free shipping thresholds, are subject to the specific terms stated at the time of purchase and may exclude certain destinations, products, oversized items, or order types at our discretion.
4. Estimated Delivery Times
Estimated delivery times are provided for informational purposes only and are not guaranteed. Estimated transit times for domestic orders, after order processing, are as follows:
- Standard Shipping: 3 to 7 business days
- Expedited Shipping: 2 to 3 business days
- Overnight Shipping: 1 business day, where available
Total time from order placement to delivery is the sum of processing time and transit time.
Delivery dates may be affected by factors outside our control, including carrier delays, weather events, natural disasters, customs inspections, public health events, labor disputes, infrastructure failures, and other force majeure events as further described in Section 17. We are not liable for delays caused by carriers or other third parties.
5. Order Tracking
Once your order ships, you will receive an email containing a tracking number and carrier information. Tracking information is updated by the carrier and may not reflect real time package status. We do not control carrier scanning frequency, scanning accuracy, or the speed at which carriers update tracking systems.
If tracking information shows no movement for more than 7 business days following the initial carrier scan, contact us at support@balancednaturopathics.com so we can open a carrier trace.
6. Shipping Destinations
We currently ship to the 50 United States, the District of Columbia, and U.S. military addresses (APO, FPO, DPO). We do not currently ship to U.S. territories outside the 50 states unless explicitly indicated at checkout.
We do not currently ship internationally. International shipping availability may change and will be reflected at checkout when available. Section 20 of this Policy describes the terms that will apply if and when international shipping is offered.
Shipping to P.O. boxes is supported via USPS only. UPS and FedEx do not deliver to P.O. boxes. If you select a carrier that does not service P.O. boxes for an order shipping to a P.O. box, we may rebook the order via USPS at our discretion without additional charge to the customer.
7. Address Accuracy and Customer Responsibility
You are solely responsible for providing a complete, accurate, current, and deliverable shipping address at checkout. We are not responsible for orders shipped to incorrect addresses provided by the customer, including misspellings, missing apartment, unit, or suite numbers, incorrect ZIP codes, transposed digits, or addresses entered into the wrong fields.
Orders returned to us due to incorrect, incomplete, or undeliverable addresses are subject to the following:
- The customer is responsible for the cost of reshipment.
- Original shipping fees are non-refundable.
- If the customer requests a refund in lieu of reshipment, the refund will exclude original shipping costs and may include a restocking fee of up to 15 percent of the product price.
If you discover an error in your shipping address, contact us immediately at support@balancednaturopathics.com. We will attempt to correct the address prior to shipment, but we cannot guarantee changes once an order has entered processing or after a shipping label has been generated.
8. Risk of Loss and Title Transfer
Title to and risk of loss for all products purchased through the Site passes to the customer upon delivery of the products to the carrier at our shipping facility (FOB Origin). Once the carrier takes possession of the package, the customer assumes all risk associated with the shipment, including loss, theft, misdelivery, and damage in transit.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, we will work in good faith with customers and carriers to resolve shipping issues as described in Sections 9 through 11. Any remedies offered under those sections are extended at our sole discretion and are not waivers of the risk of loss provisions of this Section 8.
9. Lost Packages
A package is considered lost if the carrier has not delivered it within 15 business days of the shipment date and tracking shows no recent activity.
If your package is lost in transit, contact us at support@balancednaturopathics.com within 30 days of the original ship date. We will:
- Open a trace, investigation, or claim with the carrier.
- At our discretion, either reship the order or issue a refund to the original payment method, subject to and contingent upon the outcome of the carrier investigation.
We are not obligated to reship or refund orders that:
- Are reported lost more than 30 days after the ship date.
- Show carrier confirmation of delivery to the address provided.
- Were shipped to an incorrect address provided by the customer.
- Show evidence of customer fraud, abuse, or repeat claim history inconsistent with normal carrier loss rates.
10. Stolen Packages and Porch Theft
If tracking shows your package was delivered but you did not receive it, the package is presumptively delivered for purposes of this Policy. Stolen packages, porch theft, packages misdelivered by the carrier, and packages received by an unauthorized person at the delivery address are not covered by this Policy and are not our responsibility.
We recommend the following if you suspect theft or carrier misdelivery:
- Confirm with household members, neighbors, building staff, leasing offices, or your local post office that the package was not received on your behalf.
- Check around the property, side doors, garages, and common delivery locations.
- File a claim with the carrier directly using your tracking number.
- File a police report if appropriate.
At our sole discretion, we may offer a one time courtesy replacement, partial credit, or store credit for stolen or misdelivered packages. Any such accommodation is offered as a courtesy, is not an admission of liability, and does not establish a precedent or obligation for future orders.
We strongly recommend selecting shipping options with signature confirmation or insurance for high value orders. Where offered, these options are available at the customer's expense.
11. Damaged Packages
If your order arrives visibly damaged, contact us at support@balancednaturopathics.com within 7 days of delivery. Include the following in your message:
- Order number
- Photographs of the external shipping carton or envelope
- Photographs of all damaged products
- A brief written description of the damage
We will, at our discretion, either reship the damaged item, issue a refund, or issue store credit. Damage claims submitted more than 7 days after delivery may be denied.
Do not discard the damaged product, packaging, or shipping label until your claim is resolved. Carriers may require physical inspection or photographic evidence as a condition of claim approval.
12. Supplements, Heat, and Environmental Considerations
Functional mushroom supplements and related products sold through the Site are shelf stable and tested for stability.
