1. Overview
We offer the following purchase options through the Site:
- One Time Purchase: A single, non-recurring purchase of a product. No cancellation policy applies because no future charges are scheduled.
- Subscription, Auto Refill, Recurring Shipment, or Subscribe and Save: A recurring purchase of a product on a customer-selected interval (for example, every 30, 45, 60, or 90 days). Charges and shipments continue automatically until canceled.
- Prepaid Subscription: A subscription paid in advance for a fixed number of deliveries (for example, 3 month or 6 month prepaid plan). Charges renew automatically at the end of the prepaid term unless canceled.
- Membership: A recurring access plan to digital content, community, or services, billed monthly, quarterly, or annually. Charges continue automatically until canceled.
This Policy describes how to cancel each of these options, when cancellation takes effect, and what charges, fees, and refunds apply.
2. Auto Renewal Disclosure
By enrolling in a subscription, prepaid plan, or membership, you authorize us to charge your selected payment method on the recurring schedule disclosed at checkout, at the rate disclosed at checkout, until you cancel.
Specifically, you acknowledge and agree that:
- Subscriptions and memberships automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle without further action by you.
- The amount charged at each renewal is the rate in effect at the time of that renewal, which may differ from the introductory or promotional rate, subject to advance notice as described in Section 9.
- The billing interval, the renewal date, and the charge amount are disclosed at checkout, in the order confirmation email, and in the customer's account dashboard.
- Cancellation is the customer's responsibility and may be performed at any time as described in Section 3.
This Section 2 is provided in compliance with the Federal Trade Commission's Negative Option Rule and applicable state automatic renewal laws, including the California Automatic Renewal Law.
3. How to Cancel
You may cancel any subscription, prepaid plan, or membership at any time, by any of the following methods:
a. Self Service Cancellation Through the Account Dashboard
Log in to your customer account at tryrhizo.com, navigate to "Manage Subscriptions" or the equivalent section, and click "Cancel Subscription" next to the plan you wish to cancel. Cancellation through the account dashboard is the fastest method and takes effect immediately upon confirmation, subject to the timing rules in Section 4.
b. Cancellation by Email
Send a cancellation request to support@balancednaturopathics.com from the email address associated with your account. Include:
- Your full name
- Your account email address
- The order number or subscription ID, if available
- A clear statement that you wish to cancel
We will process email cancellation requests within 1 to 2 business days. The cancellation effective date is determined under Section 4.
c. Cancellation by Mail
Send a written cancellation request to:
Balanced Naturopathics, LLCAttention: Subscription Cancellation
P.O. Box 6803
Oak Ridge, NC 27310
Include the same information listed in subsection b. Mail cancellation is processed within 5 business days of receipt. The cancellation effective date is determined under Section 4.
d. Cancellation by Phone or Other Means
We do not currently accept cancellation by phone, text message, social media direct message, or chat. If a phone or chat support channel is added in the future, the option to cancel through that channel will be made available consistent with applicable law.
You are not required to cancel by any specific method. The methods listed in subsections a, b, and c are equally valid. The self service method is offered to satisfy the simple cancellation requirements of the FTC Negative Option Rule and California's Automatic Renewal Law.
4. When Cancellation Takes Effect
The timing rules in this Section 4 apply to all cancellation methods.
a. Standard Subscription and Auto Refill
Cancellation requests must be received and processed at least 2 business days before the next scheduled renewal date to apply to that upcoming order. Requests received less than 2 business days before renewal will apply to the order following the next renewal.
Once a renewal order has been processed and a shipping label has been generated, that order cannot be canceled and the charge for that order is non-refundable, except as provided in the Refund and Return Policy.
b. Prepaid Subscription
Cancellation of a prepaid subscription stops the automatic renewal at the end of the prepaid term. Remaining shipments within the prepaid term will continue to be delivered as scheduled. Prepaid subscription fees are non-refundable except as provided in Section 5 of this Policy and in the Refund and Return Policy.
c. Membership
Cancellation of a monthly membership takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Access to membership content, community, or services continues through the end of the paid period. Cancellation of an annual or quarterly membership takes effect at the end of the current paid term unless a refund is granted under Section 5.
d. Confirmation of Cancellation
You will receive an email confirmation of cancellation within 1 business day of the cancellation taking effect. If you do not receive confirmation, contact support@balancednaturopathics.com to verify the status of the cancellation. Retain your cancellation confirmation for your records.
5. Refunds Upon Cancellation
Cancellation does not automatically entitle the customer to a refund of prior charges. Refund eligibility is governed by the Refund and Return Policy and the additional rules in this Section 5.
a. Standard Subscription and Auto Refill
Charges for orders that have already been processed and shipped are non-refundable except as provided in the Refund and Return Policy (for example, damaged or defective products under Section 4 of that policy, or unopened product returns under Section 3 of that policy).
b. Prepaid Subscription
Prepaid subscription fees are non-refundable. Cancellation stops the automatic renewal at the end of the prepaid term but does not refund any portion of the prepaid term, except as required by applicable law or as provided in the Refund and Return Policy.
c. Annual or Quarterly Membership
Cancellation within 7 days of the initial purchase of an annual or quarterly membership entitles the customer to a full refund, provided that the customer has not materially accessed, downloaded, streamed, or used the membership content. Cancellation after 7 days, or after material use of the membership content, results in cancellation effective at the end of the current paid term with no refund.
d. Promotional, Trial, and Introductory Pricing
Cancellation during a promotional, trial, or introductory pricing period stops automatic renewal at the end of the promotional period. Customers who cancel during a free trial period are not charged for the upcoming billing cycle. Customers who cancel after the free trial has converted to a paid subscription are subject to subsections a, b, or c, as applicable.
If a free trial requires a payment method on file and converts automatically to a paid subscription at the end of the trial, this conversion is disclosed at checkout in compliance with applicable law.
6. Pausing and Modifying Subscriptions
In addition to canceling, customers may pause or modify subscriptions through the account dashboard or by contacting support@balancednaturopathics.com.
Modifications include:
- Changing the renewal interval (for example, from 30 days to 60 days)
- Changing the product or quantity within a subscription
- Updating the shipping address
- Updating the payment method
- Pausing the subscription for a defined period
Modifications and pauses must be requested at least 2 business days before the next scheduled renewal to apply to that upcoming order, consistent with Section 4(a).
Pausing a subscription does not cancel it. Paused subscriptions resume automatically on the date selected by the customer, or on the date specified in the pause confirmation email.
7. Failed Payments and Payment Method Updates
If a scheduled renewal payment fails (for example, due to an expired card, insufficient funds, or a card decline), we will:
- Notify the customer at the email address on file.
- Attempt to retry the charge on a defined retry schedule, typically over the following 7 to 14 days.
- Pause the subscription if the payment cannot be successfully processed within the retry window.
The customer is responsible for keeping payment method information current. Failure to update payment method information does not constitute a cancellation. To cancel, the customer must follow the cancellation procedures in Section 3.
If a subscription is paused due to payment failure and the customer does not update the payment method within 30 days, we may, at our discretion, cancel the subscription and notify the customer.
8. Account Termination by Us
We reserve the right to terminate any subscription, prepaid plan, or membership at our sole discretion, including for reasons related to:
- Suspected fraud or chargeback abuse
- Violation of the Terms and Conditions or any other policy
- Resale of products in violation of the Terms and Conditions
- Discontinuation of a product, plan, or service
- Operational, regulatory, or supply chain reasons
If we terminate a subscription at our initiative, we will refund the unused, prepaid portion of the subscription on a pro rata basis, except in cases of fraud, chargeback abuse, or material breach of the Terms and Conditions.
9. Price Changes and Plan Changes
We reserve the right to change subscription pricing, billing intervals, plan features, and product composition at any time. Material changes that affect the customer's existing subscription will be communicated by email at least 30 days in advance of the effective date.
Customers who do not wish to accept a price change or plan change may cancel through any of the methods in Section 3. Continued use of the subscription after the effective date of the change constitutes acceptance of the change.
Changes to introductory or promotional pricing converting to standard pricing are disclosed at checkout and are not subject to the 30 day notice in this Section 9.
10. Discontinued Products
If a product included in an active subscription is discontinued, we will, at our discretion:
- Notify the customer and substitute a comparable product, subject to the customer's right to cancel.
- Convert the subscription to a different available product of equal or greater value.
- Pause the subscription until a replacement is available.
- Cancel the subscription and refund any unused, prepaid portion on a pro rata basis.
11. Non Waiver of Consumer Protection Rights
Nothing in this Policy limits or waives any right that the customer has under applicable law that cannot be waived by contract, including the FTC Negative Option Rule, the California Automatic Renewal Law, and other federal and state consumer protection laws.
If any provision of this Policy is found to be unenforceable in a particular jurisdiction, that provision is severable and the remainder of the Policy remains in effect.
12. Specific State Disclosures
a. California Residents
In compliance with the California Automatic Renewal Law, California residents are entitled to:
- Clear and conspicuous disclosure of the automatic renewal terms before enrollment, which is provided at checkout and in the order confirmation.
- Affirmative consent to the automatic renewal terms before enrollment, obtained through the checkout process.
- A simple online cancellation mechanism, provided through the account dashboard at tryrhizo.com as described in Section 3(a).
- Acknowledgment of the cancellation in writing, provided by email confirmation as described in Section 4(d).
b. New York Residents
In compliance with the New York Automatic Renewal Law, New York residents have access to the same simple cancellation methods, advance renewal notices, and price change notices described in this Policy.
c. Other States
Customers in states with similar automatic renewal or negative option laws are entitled to the rights and disclosures required by those laws. We comply with applicable state automatic renewal and negative option laws as part of our standard subscription practices.
13. App Store and Platform Subscriptions
Subscriptions to the My Deficiencies App purchased through the Apple App Store, Google Play, or any other third party platform are governed by the cancellation and refund policies of that platform.
To cancel an Apple App Store subscription, manage subscriptions through the Apple ID account settings on an Apple device or at apple.com.
To cancel a Google Play subscription, manage subscriptions through the Google Play Store app or at play.google.com.
We do not have the ability to cancel or refund subscriptions purchased through third party platforms. Refer to Section 12 of the Refund and Return Policy for additional terms.
14. Data Retention After Cancellation
Cancellation of a subscription, prepaid plan, or membership does not automatically delete the customer's account or associated data. The customer's account, order history, and personal information are retained in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
To request deletion of personal information, the customer must follow the procedures described in the Privacy Policy.
15. No Penalty for Cancellation
We do not charge cancellation fees, early termination fees, or penalties for canceling a subscription, prepaid plan, or membership at any time, except where:
- A prepaid term has been paid in advance and is non-refundable as described in Section 5(b).
- A material breach of the Terms and Conditions, such as fraud or chargeback abuse, has occurred.
16. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy at any time at our sole discretion. The updated version will be posted on the Site with a new Effective Date and Last Updated date. Material changes will be communicated through reasonable means, including email notification to active subscribers at least 30 days in advance of the effective date where required by applicable law.
Continued use of any subscription, prepaid plan, or membership after the Effective Date of an updated Policy constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
