This Refund and Return Policy (the "Policy") governs returns, refunds, exchanges, and store credits for products and services purchased through tryrhizo.com (the "Site"), operated by Balanced Naturopathics, LLC, a North Carolina limited liability company, doing business as Rhizomatic Gardens ("Rhizomatic Gardens," "we," "us," or "our").
By placing an order through the Site, you agree to this Policy. This Policy is incorporated into our Terms and Conditions by reference. In the event of conflict between this Policy and the Terms and Conditions, the Terms and Conditions govern.

1. Overview
We stand behind the quality of our products. Because we sell ingestible dietary supplements, our refund and return policy is structured to comply with FDA, FTC, state consumer protection, and industry standard practices for the supplement category. Please read this Policy carefully before placing an order.
This Policy covers:
- Rhizomatic Gardens dietary supplement products sold through the Site
- Digital products, courses, and downloadable content sold through the Site or affiliated platforms
- My Deficiencies App in app purchases and subscriptions, subject to the additional terms in Section 12
- Coaching, consulting, and program enrollments offered by Balanced Naturopathics, subject to the additional terms in Section 13
2. Supplement Products, General Rule
Due to the ingestible nature of dietary supplements, public health considerations, product tampering risk, and federal and state regulatory guidance, all sales of Rhizomatic Gardens supplement products are final once the product has been opened, used, or its tamper evident seal has been broken.
We do not accept returns of opened, used, partially consumed, or unsealed supplement products under any circumstances, except where required by applicable law or where the product is defective, damaged in transit, or otherwise covered by Sections 3, 4, or 5 of this Policy.
3. Unopened Product Returns
Unopened, unused, and resaleable Rhizomatic Gardens supplement products in their original sealed condition may be returned within 30 days of the original ship date, subject to the following:
- The customer must contact support@balancednaturopathics.com to request a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) prior to returning any product.
- Returns sent without an RMA may be refused, discarded, or held without refund at our discretion.
- The customer is responsible for all return shipping costs.
- Original shipping fees are non-refundable.
- A restocking fee of up to 15 percent of the product price may apply at our discretion.
- The product must arrive at our facility in unopened, unused, resaleable condition with the tamper evident seal intact.
Refunds for approved unopened returns will be issued to the original payment method within 5 to 10 business days of our receipt and inspection of the returned product.
We reserve the right to refuse returns that arrive opened, used, damaged in return transit, beyond the 30 day window, or otherwise outside the terms of this Section 3.
4. Damaged or Defective Products
If your product arrives damaged, defective, or with a broken tamper evident seal, contact us at support@balancednaturopathics.com within 7 days of delivery. Include:
- Order number
- Photographs of the external shipping carton or envelope
- Photographs of the damaged or defective product, including the tamper evident seal where applicable
- A brief written description of the issue
At our sole discretion, we will either replace the product at our expense, issue a refund to the original payment method, or issue store credit. Damage and defect claims submitted more than 7 days after delivery may be denied.
Do not discard the product, packaging, or shipping label until your claim is resolved. We may require physical inspection or photographic evidence as a condition of claim approval.
5. Incorrect Product Shipped
If we ship the wrong product, contact us at support@balancednaturopathics.com within 14 days of delivery with your order number, photographs of the product received, and the packing slip. We will, at our expense, ship the correct product and provide a prepaid return label for the incorrect product.
The customer must return the incorrect product within 14 days of receiving the prepaid return label. Failure to return the incorrect product within this window may result in the customer being charged for the additional product at the standard retail price.
6. No Satisfaction or Results Guarantee
We do not offer refunds based on personal results, perceived effectiveness, taste, smell, color, texture, capsule appearance, powder consistency, energy, mood, sleep quality, digestive response, focus, hormonal response, or any other subjective experience.
Dietary supplements affect individuals differently. Results vary based on diet, lifestyle, genetics, medication use, gut microbiome composition, sleep, stress, hydration, and many other factors outside our control. The absence of a desired subjective result is not grounds for refund or return.
This Section 6 does not affect the customer's rights under Sections 3, 4, 5, or under applicable law where such law cannot be waived by contract.
7. Allergic Reactions and Adverse Events
If you experience an allergic reaction or adverse event after using a Rhizomatic Gardens product, stop using the product immediately and seek appropriate medical care.
Please report the event to us at support@balancednaturopathics.com so we can document the report consistent with FDA serious adverse event reporting requirements under the Dietary Supplement and Nonprescription Drug Consumer Protection Act.
Refunds and replacements for adverse events are evaluated on a case by case basis at our sole discretion. Reporting an adverse event is not an admission of liability and does not waive any defense or right available to us under the Terms and Conditions, including the limitation of liability and arbitration provisions.
Allergens, sensitivities, and ingredient information are disclosed on each product label and on the corresponding product page on the Site. The customer is responsible for reviewing this information prior to purchase and use.
8. Subscription Orders
Subscription orders, including auto refill, recurring shipment, and subscribe and save orders, are subject to the following:
- Subscriptions may be paused, modified, or canceled at any time through the customer's account dashboard or by emailing support@balancednaturopathics.com.
- Cancellation requests must be received at least 2 business days before the scheduled renewal date to apply to the upcoming order. Requests received less than 2 business days before renewal will apply to the next subsequent order.
- Once a subscription order has been processed and a shipping label has been generated, the order cannot be canceled and a refund cannot be issued for that order, except as provided in Sections 4 or 5 of this Policy.
- Subscription pricing, including any subscribe and save discount, applies only while the subscription remains active. Canceled subscriptions forfeit any associated discount on future orders.
The customer is solely responsible for managing their subscription, including pausing, canceling, or updating shipping and payment information prior to the next renewal.
9. Promotional, Bundle, Free Gift, and Discounted Orders
Promotional orders, bundles, free gift offers, BOGO offers, sample packs, and orders placed using a discount code or gift card are subject to additional terms:
- Free gift items, samples, and bonus products are non-refundable and have no cash value.
- If a customer returns part of a bundle or BOGO order, the remaining items must be valued at the standard retail price for refund calculation. The discount or free item value will be deducted from the refund.
- Discount codes and promotional pricing are not retroactively applied to prior orders.
- Final sale, clearance, and closeout items are non-refundable and non-returnable.
10. Digital Products, Courses, and Downloads
Digital products, including but not limited to e-books, downloadable guides, recorded webinars, online courses, and digital memberships sold through the Site or affiliated platforms, are non-refundable once delivered or accessed, except as required by applicable law.
Once the customer has logged in, downloaded, streamed, accessed, or received delivery of digital content, the sale is final.
If a digital product is materially defective, technically inaccessible, or substantially different from its product page description, contact us at support@balancednaturopathics.com within 7 days of purchase. We will, at our discretion, repair the technical issue, provide an alternate format, or issue a refund.
11. Coaching, Consulting, and Programs
Coaching sessions, consulting engagements, group programs, and structured offerings sold by Balanced Naturopathics are subject to the specific refund terms stated in the program or engagement agreement at the time of purchase.
In the absence of program specific terms:
- Single coaching sessions are non-refundable once scheduled. Rescheduling is permitted with at least 48 hours notice.
- Group programs are non-refundable after the program start date.
- Multi session packages are non-refundable once the first session has been delivered. Unused sessions may be transferred to a future engagement at our discretion.
Refund requests outside the stated terms are evaluated on a case by case basis at our sole discretion.
12. My Deficiencies App
Refunds for My Deficiencies App in app purchases and subscriptions are governed by the policies of the platform through which the purchase was made.
For purchases made through the Apple App Store, refund requests must be submitted directly to Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. We do not have the ability to issue refunds for App Store purchases.
For purchases made through Google Play, refund requests must be submitted directly to Google at play.google.com.
Subscriptions to the My Deficiencies App may be canceled at any time through the customer's App Store or Google Play account settings. Cancellation prevents future renewals but does not refund the current billing period, except as provided by the platform's refund policy or by applicable law.
If the App is materially defective, the customer should report the defect to support@balancednaturopathics.com so we can investigate and address the issue. Reporting a defect does not entitle the customer to a refund outside of the platform's refund policy.
13. Wholesale, Bulk, and Professional Account Orders
Wholesale, bulk, practitioner, and professional account orders are governed by the specific terms of the wholesale or professional account agreement, including any minimum order quantity, return restriction, and refund schedule stated in that agreement.
In the absence of agreement specific terms, wholesale and bulk orders are non-refundable and non-returnable except for damage in transit or incorrect product shipped, in which case Sections 4 and 5 of this Policy apply.
14. Refund Processing Times
Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5 to 10 business days of approval. Posting times to the customer's account are controlled by the customer's bank, card issuer, or payment processor and are outside our control. Some refunds may take up to 30 days to appear on the customer's statement.
Refunds cannot be issued to a payment method other than the original method used for the purchase, except in cases where the original method is no longer valid, in which case we may, at our discretion, issue store credit.
15. Store Credit
Store credit issued in lieu of a refund is non-transferable, has no cash value, and may not be redeemed for cash. Store credit is valid for 12 months from the date of issuance unless a different period is stated at the time of issuance.
Store credit may not be combined with certain promotional offers or discount codes at our discretion. Specific exclusions will be communicated at the time of redemption.
16. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
We encourage customers to contact us at support@balancednaturopathics.com before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute with their bank or card issuer. Most issues can be resolved directly and faster than the chargeback process.
Filing a chargeback for a charge that does not qualify for dispute under the terms of this Policy, the Terms and Conditions, or applicable card network rules constitutes a material breach of the Terms and Conditions and may result in:
- Suspension or termination of the customer's account.
- A permanent ban from future purchases through the Site.
- Recovery of the disputed amount, plus chargeback fees, plus collection costs and reasonable attorneys fees, through arbitration as provided in the Terms and Conditions.
- Reporting of fraudulent chargeback activity to the relevant card networks, fraud databases, and law enforcement.
We will respond to all chargebacks with documentation supporting the validity of the charge, including order confirmation, shipping confirmation, delivery confirmation, communications with the customer, and the applicable provisions of this Policy and the Terms and Conditions.
17. Fraud, Abuse, and Policy Misuse
We reserve the right to deny refunds, returns, replacements, and store credit, and to suspend or terminate customer accounts, in cases of:
- Suspected fraud, including stolen card use, identity theft, or false claims.
- Excessive or repeat claims inconsistent with normal customer behavior.
- Patterns of behavior suggesting policy abuse, including repeated lost package claims, repeated damage claims, repeated chargebacks, or coordinated activity across multiple accounts.
- Resale of products in violation of our Terms and Conditions.
- Tampering with products, packaging, or shipping evidence.
18. Right to Refuse or Cancel Orders
We reserve the right to refuse, cancel, or limit any order at any time at our sole discretion, including for reasons related to inventory availability, payment verification, suspected fraud, address verification, regulatory compliance, repeat policy abuse, or operational capacity.
If we cancel an order at our initiative, we will refund the full purchase price to the original payment method. Cancellation by us does not establish a precedent or obligation for future orders.
19. State and Consumer Protection Rights
Nothing in this Policy limits or waives any right that the customer has under applicable law that cannot be waived by contract, including state consumer protection statutes, magnuson moss warranty rights, and other federal consumer protection rights.
If any provision of this Policy is found to be unenforceable in a particular jurisdiction, that provision is severable and the remainder of the Policy remains in effect.
20. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to any refund, return, replacement, or product issue is limited to the purchase price of the affected product plus any shipping fees paid for that product.
In no event shall we be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages of any kind, including but not limited to lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, business interruption, loss of use, loss of goodwill, personal injury, property damage, or emotional distress, arising from or related to any product, refund, return, or replacement.
This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory under which the claim is brought, including contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability, statute, or otherwise, and applies even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages and even if a limited remedy is found to have failed of its essential purpose.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the minimum extent permitted by law.
21. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy at any time at our sole discretion. The updated version will be posted on the Site with a new Effective Date and Last Updated date. Material changes will be communicated through reasonable means, which may include email notification to active customers, banners or notices on the Site, or other reasonable methods.
Your continued use of the Site or purchase of products after the Effective Date of an updated Policy constitutes your acceptance of the updated Policy.
